The Book of Ruth is a beautifully told, Hebrew short story of God’s grace in the life of one family of David’s ancestors. It tells of the importance of faithful love in human relationships among God's kingdom people. The author focuses on Ruth's unswerving and selfless devotion to desolate Naomi.

Philippians - 7 Sessions

Paul knows the Philippians were experiencing a lot of opposition, so he presents his life as an example of how to respond to hardship with joy. Paul urges the Philippians to have the servant attitude that Jesus had. Our discussion through the book of Philippians is focused on finding the joy in life as we live to honor God.

Researching Religions of the World
(Dec 2023 Only two Sundays)

Religion is something people do, not just something people believe. This study is offered as an effort to become familiar with other religions so that we might be able to "reason with them." Acts 17:16,17 and to open our minds to become more tolerant of others.
Acts - Twelve Sessions

Acts is the only book in the New Testament to present a “history of the church.” It is a connecting link between the gospels and the epistles. Acts also provide incredible detail on Paul’s life and ministry. It is the story of God’s grace flooding out to the world. Nothing is more prominent in Acts than the spread of the gospel.

Study of Proverbs

Proverbs was written to lead a person to comprehend what it means to reverence God and find knowledge (Proverbs 2:5). It will also strengthen a person's faith in Him and give them hope, for He promises ultimate victory to the righteous (Proverbs 2:7). Reading these words of wisdom will impart a deeper understanding of what is right and good (Proverbs 2: 9).

Study of Deuteronomy
(Feb, March 2022)

This book teaches man to love and obey God. The word “love” occurs 22 times; “obey” occurs 10 times. The motive for obedience is love. Jesus said, “If you love me, keep my commandments” (John 14:15). The true motive for obedience is stated in Deuteronomy 6:4,5. God’s love for man is the motive for His guidance and the giving of laws.
